Upon taking psychobiology in her first doctoral semester, Amelia realized how her “STEM” foundation contributed as a strength in understanding the systemic factors promoting resilience in others. This revelation of connecting science to psychology is when she discovered the role of neuroscience, and how brain behavior principles are used alongside the art of serving others.
