NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL AND CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Amelia is current in a Clinical Psychology Internship Program (APA Accredited). She has successfully attained a pediatric neuropsychology post doctoral fellowship for 2022-2023. In the last several years, Amelia has gained over 3000 supervised hours counseling multi-ethnic individuals with a variety of mental health needs, disorders, and crises. She has specific training in neuropsychological assessment, neurodevelopmental disorders, brief interventions, consultation-liaison, creative and play therapies on multidisciplinary healthcare teams integrating evidence-based practice and treatment.

  • Behavioral health intervention emphasis, to understand how culture, family of origin, and present medical diagnosis are impacting student’s social, emotional, and cognitive functioning

  • Provide individual and group counseling,in-class support, functional behavioral assessment, development of behavioral support plans, and consultation

  • Administer, interpret, and provide written synthesis of psychological test batteries such as cognitive, academic achievement, neurodevelopmental, adaptive, and emotional-behavioral assessments.

  • Assessments involve record reviews, clinical interviews, intellectual, achievement, personality, and/or competency-based measures, as well as make recommendations that convey meaningful information to clients.

  • Consult with interdisciplinary team of teachers, parents, social workers, psychiatrist & systems collaboration to coordinate care, update treatment needs, and attend student team eligibility/re-evaluation/referral meetings

  • Simultaneously maintain an average of 5-6 assessment cases & an average of 20 clinical cases per month.

  • Provide supervision to a master level behavioral health specialist, weekly.
